Summer field renovation closure Published on June 22, 2022 The city gives the fields a break to rejuvenate and recover on an annual basis. Burgess athletic field is currently surrounded with an orange fence to protect the renovation process. These renovations will take place over the course of the summer, preparing the fields for fall use. During the renovation process it is asked that there be no public use of the fields. All fireworks are illegal in Menlo Park Published on June 20, 2022 As the July 4th holiday approaches, the Police Department reminds local residents and visitors that all forms of fireworks are strictly prohibited in Menlo Park. This includes “safe and sane” fireworks, as the potential for fires is extremely high due to hotter temperatures along with dry grass and brush. Vehicle emissions remain the largest source of smog pollution and greenhouse gas in the Bay Area.
