Operating hours 

The Menlo Park Library and Belle Haven Branch Library are open to the public during the following hours:

• Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays: Noon–8 p.m.
• Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays: 10 a.m.–6 p.m.
• Holidays: closed

Book returns and drop box hours

The outdoor library book return boxes are open to accept returns of library materials 24 hours daily, but closed on holidays. 

Holiday closed dates

Both library locations and outdoor book drops will be closed on the following days: 

• New Year's Day (Jan. 1)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
• Presidents Day (third Monday in February)
• Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
• Independence Day (July 4)
• Labor Day (first Monday in September)
• Veterans Day (Nov. 11)
• Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
• Christmas Eve (Dec. 24)
• Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
